Introducing FestiGals 2018 Grand Diva Stephanie Burks!
Each year, FestiGals honors a celebrated woman in our community who exudes great style and personality with confidence and expresses her style without letting others influence who she is – someone whose character and class makes her stand out from the rest. Who better fits this description than our very own Stephanie Burks to reign over our June 21-24 celebration of women!
Stephanie is a member of the FestiGals Board of Directors and Advisory Committee. She’s served as a Bodacious Bras for a Cause Co-Chair, has been a featured panelist at a Cocktails & Conversations, has participated in our FestiGals weekend for several years and has encouraged so many others to join us – even forming her own Wonder Woman-themed group for our annual second-line parade. And, she’s a rock star in our community, generously donating time and resources to a variety of causes.
We asked Stephanie how she feels about being selected as Grand Diva. She was her usual humble self and responded with,
“This means a lot to me. It shows that as long as you show yourself to be true, authentic and transparent people will notice and appreciate you. I give a lot of myself not to be seen or for a pat on the back but to motivate and mentor others. This is a special moment to join a group of fabulous, talented and inspiring ladies.”
She also said she enjoys FestiGals and the chance to be around so many other working and motivated women from around the United States. According to Stephanie, “We can all learn something from each other if we take time to listen.”
