Is there a fee for Krewes to march in the Step Up Second-Line Parade?
Yes! Krewes need to sign up here and raise a minimum of $500 to be in the Parade. If you're not in a krewe it will be $35 a person to march with us! Individuals can purchase tickets here.
What should I wear to FestiGals?
Cool, comfortable, and casual day wear. Don’t forget to bring a hat or sunglasses and rain gear just in case. We love air-conditioning in New Orleans, so you may want to pack a light cardigan or pashmina as an extra layer to keep warm indoors.
The Hat's Off Luncheon is the perfect time to show off your most extravagant hats. Channel your inner fashionista and show off your Kentucky Derby style. Remember, the bigger the hat - the bigger the heart!

For the Step Up Second-Line Parade, bring your favorite boa, bright colored clothes, glittery accessories, bodacious bras, and wigs. Feel free to bring your flip-flops, sneakers, boots and ballet flats so you’re comfortable as you sashay along the parade route. This is going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity to dance through the streets with second-line bands, entertainers, and dancing Krewes. We’ll get together just before at the pre-party to primp and get in the mood for the fun ahead night!

If I’m staying at the Jung, how easy is it to get transportation to sites around the city?
The Jung Hotel & Residences is conveniently located on the Canal Street streetcar line. The “Ladies in Red” as the streetcars are often called, take you directly to the French Quarter and points south, or North, toward Carrollton neighborhood and City Park. A $1.50 ride is one of the city’s best bargains for an historic trip on the rails!
A recent addition to the cityscape, the Blue Bikes station is just outside the front door on the far side of Canal St. These bikes can be rented for $8 per hour, and used and dropped at any Blue Bike station in the city, making a fun way to ride and see the city.
